What is a credit union?

Credit Unions offer more. Founded on the philosophy of "people helping people," credit unions exist only to serve their members. As not-for-profit institutions, credit unions are unique in the financial world.

Because the members are the owners, there are no shareholders to whom profits must be paid. Everything is returned to its members in the form of better rates on loans and deposits, and lower or no fees on products and services. We've built our credit union on a member-first cornerstone. We actively participate in our members’ lives.

Heritage Trust's philosophy
Heritage Trust offers members not just products, but answers and solutions.
We help set the course for members to achieve their individual life plan. HTFCU stands as a beacon of common sense.

We know that building enduring relationships takes the right approach. We call it the Heritage Trust FCU Promise. A relationship that provides the members with a lifetime of solutions, based on meaningful and relevant information, based on their total financial picture. When your financial products are seen and managed separately, your financial life can only take you so far. Now there’s a way to go beyond those limits.

At Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union, we see your financial life in total. A total approach with Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union is a relationship that provides you with a lifetime of solutions based on your total financial picture making the whole become something greater – helping you Invest Life Wisely.
